How to replace keyboard

Keyboard backlight is not working so I wan to fixit by replacing it fixing the old one

@swiftbrown get the hardware maintenance manual for your computer from the Documents tab on this page Lenovo Yoga C630-13Q50 It will help you with working on your computer. Once you have it open, check the backlight cable. Make sure it is properly seated and does not have any tears, corrosion etc. If it is okay, then the issue will most likely be on your motherboard (should be a LA-G611P). Pin 1 and 2 are ground and pin 3 and 4 are +5V you can measure that with a normal multimeter. If your motherboard does not have the voltage, you will need to check the circuitry.

Had this happen to me too, I just cleaned the contacts and reconnected the ribbon cable, then it worked. If not, you can replace the backlight but check your model guide first. Most times its just a loose connection, not broken light.
