RAM upgrade or replacement
Mine Asus viviobook is with 8GB of RAM and i want to upgrade it to 16GB of RAM, where to buy the DDR4 RAM and how to replace it?

Your computer will accept 1 single slot of DDR4 SODIMM RAM. You can buy a 16gb stick of ram on iFixit, or at most elctronics repair stores. You can also buy them on Amazon.
To replace the ram, open up the laptop by removing the screws on the bottom. Disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard. Then remove the old ram chip by pulling back on the metal connectors and slide it out. Then press in the new RAM until you hear a click sound. Then plug the battery back into the motherboard and put the case back together.

Actually, I installed a 32 GB DDR4 and have been running on 40 GB RAM for over 1 year. There is a 8GB RAM stick soldered on the motherboard plus the extra memory slot. Officially, ASUS says only a 16 GB stick works but various forums/discussions groups said otherwise, so I took risk. It paid off. This is a great laptop!
