Why there is a distortion sound from my left speaker?

I noticed that my left speaker as now produce a distortion sound , I tried updating windows and the audio drivers for official asus website but was unable to solve can anyone please provide me the solution.

No, The distortion is only heard from the internal speakers of laptop.

Hi @anshtankat

Since you've tried all the software options and given that the audio is OK when using headphones it seems like a hardware problem with the left speaker.

You may have to replace the speakers. The speakers come as a complete module i.e. left and right speakers are wired together. (link only to show image of speakers)

Search online for FX766HCB speakers to find suppliers that suit you best. (supplier examples only)

I couldn't find a video online that shows how to do the repair for your model but here's a video that may help as it is for a similar model.
