Sliced a digitizer cable while taking off screen

I needed to replace the charging port and when I powered it back on, I noticed the top part of the screen was unresponsive. After taking it apart again I realized I sliced through the top most cable to the digitizer. Is there anything I can do to repair this? Fixed one problem…created another! I was hoping this repair was going to give me a present for my daughter.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Unfortunately, like many modern displays, the digitizer (whose cable is cut) is fused to the LCD and the front glass with OCA (Optically Clear Adhesive) glue. It's almost impossible to separate them at home and do a professional job of replacing just the digitizer, so you're looking at the whole display, sorry to say.

Good luck and let us know how it all turns out for you; whatever you learn could help the next person who comes along with the same problem.
