I bought a second hand ps3, when I try to use it my tv says it doesn’t have a signal, I’ve tried resetting it, updating my tv, using a different HDMI cable and still nothing. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting I can think of and it still has no signal. Tv finally recognized the ps3 but had no picture and still said no signal, tried trouble shooting from there and nothing still. What’s the issue?

If there is still warranty on it, then please sent it back and get yourself a new one! I meant the HDMI port on the PS3, if that one is working fine and still OK. So it's either the HDMI port on the PS3 or the HDMI IC.
Since safe mode fails as wel.. The only thing left to do is to try with the AV cables. To rule out some issues.
But since you have warranty, please sent it back.

Ooh okay. From fiddling around with the console for about an hour I believe it may have something to do with the hardware or some internal electronics of the console. When it powers on and the light goes green, it soon turns off completely. No red, yellow, or green, just nothing at all and it sounds like it turns itself off as well. So yeah, I’ll claim warranty and either get a replacement or refund and buy a different once. Thanks for trying to help though!
Okay, that could be related to the motherboard unfortunately :(.
Yeah definitely sent it back and get yourself a new one.

Could be the HDMI IC or the HDMI port.
Can you share a picture with us regarding the HDMI port? Does this one still look fine?
Did you tried to use the AV cables? Will do this first and see if it will display anything.
Does safemode work btw? Will try this first as well.

Hi, the HDMI ports work fine, as I’m able to run my ps5 with no issues at all from all of them. I don’t have the AV cables and none lying around. My tv is a Samsung smart tv (an 8series from memory) and only has 2 ports, 1 yellow and I believe 1 white if that means anything. I’m not able to bring up safe mode. Thinking of just sending it back and claiming warranty
