Pc randomly restarting / no boot

Before the Restart Issue began, im dealing with ram detection issues but when i tested both rams and 4 slots they're fine.

One time when i was reseating one of my rams, it clicks (which means it is properly seated), then the Restart Issue starts.

Eventually, the ram detection issue went away and the only problem i got is the Random Restarts issue.

(Temps are fine)

Also, when my pc restarts, it's not freezing or having BSOD, it just straight up restart. And the fans are still spinning.

I tried changing my PSU, hoping it's the faulty component, but it didn't solve the issue. Then i tried reseating one of my rams but sadly, it not booting now.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @kirito31995!

I'm facing a similar issue with my B450 socket, but your Gigabyte B450M DS3H is doing random restarts, and here's the key detail: after reseating the RAM, it won't boot at all now - just like mine. I had overheating issues even with more than enough paste and AIO cooling. Then I had VGA errors showing no picture and DebugLED showing VGA, PC going completely out of order.

I'm still trying to figure out my issues, but let me at least help you try the most common fixes for your problem:

The fact that it won't boot after reseating suggests the RAM isn't seated correctly or you've got a bad stick. Maybe take a look at the Debug LED (if your board has this - if not, check the beeper or onboard LCD) to get more information on what's wrong with your motherboard.

Try this:

  1. Remove ALL RAM sticks
  2. Try booting with just ONE stick in slot A2 (second slot from CPU)
  3. If no boot, try the same stick in slot B2 (fourth slot)
  4. If still no boot, try the OTHER stick
  5. Keep trying each stick individually in different slots

Important: After each attempt, wait 30 seconds for the system to try different memory timings. The BIOS may need a few restart cycles to recognize the RAM.

Clear CMOS Properly:

Since you reseated RAM, clear the CMOS to reset BIOS settings:

  1. Power off completely and unplug from wall
  2. Remove the CMOS battery (small round battery on motherboard)
  3. Wait 5 minutes
  4. Put battery back in
  5. Try booting with one RAM stick

Once You Can Boot Again:

Then we tackle the original random restart issue. Based on your Gigabyte B450M DS3H setup:

Likely causes:

  • XMP/DOCP profile unstable - Disable it in BIOS and run RAM at default speed
  • PSU issue (even though you replaced it)
  • Motherboard issue specific to B450M DS3H (common with this board)

First priority: Get it to boot. Try the single-stick method (worked for me most of the time) and CMOS clear.

Let me know if you need more help!

Best wishes,
Marvin

Yo man @mleem, thanks for answering!

I've already tried reseating both of my rams in all of the slots and still no boot :((

Also tried removing the CMOS battery and didn't work either. I guess the faulty component is my motherboard. It's just odd because I didn't do anything to my PC before all of these issues began. And as far as I know, I didn't overclock my ram speed or turned on XMP.

Let me know if you fixed your issue so I'll have an idea what to do with my PC :))

Thanks!

I am currently on Intel, the best guess I had for my case (since RAM and GPU are working fine on the LGA1200) that my AIO is the problem. But it still doesnt start. Not even a PSU Replacement (which was the start of all problems, because my previous Thermaltake PSU exploded on me...)

I'll Research a little bit, and will get back to you :) Otherwise I'll have to wait for enough money to buy a "new" pump.
