Is fridge display simply broken?

Hi.

I own an LG model GBB62PZGGN (EUR) and despite the fridge works properly the display is freezed showing some stranges chars where temp freezer are normally shown.

I don't think this is an errore code so my opinion is display is simply broken. No button works and the issue still remain after unplugging form some minutes.

Can I safetly buy the replacement or it can be some other issue? And how can I find out the exact display product code?

Not sure but I think that you can control and perform some tests on the refrigerator using the ThinQ app

See p.14 of the owner manual for details how to set it up

I can't find a parts list for the model but usually with LG there'll be a part number on the part either a sticker or printed on it.

If you determine that the display control board is the problem, search for the complete part number found on the board to find suppliers that suit you best. Suggest this as often there's software installed on some control boards as the same board can be used in refrigerators sold in various location around the world but the software used may be different to suit local conditions. Just so that you're aware of this.

Thanks for reply but I can't perform a diagnostic with ThinQ app because wifi was not connected and now all buttons, include wifi, doesn't work.

I'd like to unmount the display to read part number but I'm afraid for breaking the plastic part that holds it to the chassis, it would take a video 🤞
