My Charging Port Damage

Hey,

I accidentally dropped my chromebook behind my bed and now the charging port is coming out slightly and when I put in the charger it has absolutely no move at all, no working, nothing. I don't understand exactly what to do - I'm only a teenager. I tried opening it and hammering it back in a few times, but no glory. Any advice?

Your Chromebook’s charging port likely popped loose or broke when it fell. Don’t hammer it; that can cause motherboard damage. If the port is on a small board, you may just need to reattach it. If it’s soldered to the motherboard, it requires soldering by a repair shop. If your Chromebook has USB-C, try charging from USB-C instead. Send photos and the model number for exact guidance.
