Phone Not Charging After Screen Replacement By Shop

I had a broken screen replaced by a shop and the phone is not charging afterwards. My wife doesn't know anything about phones and asked me to use a shop as I previously punctured a phone battery and released nasty fumes. The shop are refusing to help so I am trying to get a charge back as I paid by card..

There are a couple reasons why this might be happening.

  • During the repair, something got stuck in the port and is not letting the charger to go all the way in.
  • The technician that was working on your phone damaged a ribbon cable or forgot to plug it back in.
  • If the screen is just black, then you could have just gotten a broken screen.
  • If you shipped the phone, it might have gotten damaged in the process.

Thanks for the suggestions, do they all involve opening the phone?
