iPod nano screen has dead pixels and white screen

I tried replacing my iPod nano third generation’s battery and when I plugged it in the screen was white, and it suddenly had dead pixels even though before I fixed the battery it worked just fine. I don’t know if I broke the screen and I don’t know if there’s anything I can do to fix it without having to buy a new screen.

@styveng what you have here is a bad LCD display. There is now way to fix it but it will need to be replaced. This sometimes happen when trying to lever out the battery and sometimes it happens when the battery does not fit properly and exerts pressure on the screen. Either or, it needs to be replaced. iPod Nano 3rd Generation Display Replacement
