The Nintendo DS is Nintendo's seventh generation handheld game console and is the first of its kind across all systems with dual-screen technology and use, apart from clamshell Game & Watch systems.

Ds does not show anything black and light is green

So I just started my DS after I replaced the outer shell and inside shell and now it stopped working like it just shows black screens what I turned on and the light is green and I tried to find some you know shortage and Wi-Fi chip because I know that in the Wi-Fi chip, there’s the bios and firmware, but I couldn’t find anything so if someone could help because he had the same problem and fix it please send me the guide and how to fix this. I want to fix my ideas without going to the repair shop.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi!

Yeah, usually caused by the WiFi chip!

The only thing is, is that the WiFi chip is soldered on the motherboard for the DS Original.... So if you have a lot of experience with soldering, you can do it by yourself, otherwise I would go to a local repair shop to get it fixed.

Please make sure that all the ribbon cables are connected as they should be. Just to be sure!

I couldn't find a guide for this one, sorry! It's actually taking out the motherboard and then de-solder the WiFi chip, and solder the new one in. It's not easy to do, to be honest..

Please let us know how it goes!

Ah! Glad that it works now, and even without a new WiFi chip! Maybe a cracked solder joint there somewhere. Or the cover caused a short, somehow! Anyway, glad that it's working now!
