Controller's board is flashing yellow 3 times when connected to power

Hello! Newbie here, I tried to replace the analog sticks on my PS5 controller as it had stick drift. After a long ride, I finally got the new modules installed and soldered to the board. I wanted to check if it still works and plugged the battery in. The LED on the front flashed 3 times in yellow color. There is another similar question here and, people are saying it is a short circuit. Is this board dead? Or can I do something to fix this issue?
Thank you!

Hello Paul, did you put the controller fully back together when you tried to test to see if it still works? The 3 flashes in the yellow color can mean different things.
1st answer- 3 yellow/amber led flashes- The controller is going into rest mode it’s disconnected or the PS5 has entered sleep mode.
2nd answer- Controller can’t connect — could be low battery, no Bluetooth sync, or firmware crash.

could you provide me some more details please.

I didn't fully put it back together, just plugged the battery in the board and then connected it to my laptop via usb c to check the calibration tool. It is not showing up on my pc, it did show up prior to changing the analog modules.

There's your problem!

• The battery provides power, so the microcontroller wakes up.

• It quickly performs a self-check.

• When it sees missing connections (like the USB board, touchpad ribbon, or trigger lines), it flashes yellow 3 times and shuts down to protect itself.

Go ahead and put it fully back together and then test it.

Get back to me if it works

@carsons45505 Thank you! This didn't work for me, in the end I desoldered it and soldered everything again. Now it works like a charm, appreciate your help!

Well, I got same issue for no reason suddenly it start flashing 3 times every time i press the power, plug the usb or even charging using the dock … after flashing nothing happened. I tried another battery but problem persist… I tried to disassemble everything… no ribbon cable is connected… only the board ( with analog sticks) and the 4 wires for the vibration motor but no success … reconnecting all ribbons ( trigger and touch pad) again but no success … any suggestion please!
