Hey there Cat, have you tried checking if your TV's input to Composite? It might be that your display was set to AV or Component accedently. Otherwise, try a new AV cable.

Hi!

Please check the Wii display settings and see if you can change some settings there and see if that solves it.

If possible, please share a screenshot with us regarding the display settings.

Can you also share the details about which Wii > HDMI adapter you are using?

If the settings doesn't change anything, then it's might be a faulty HDMI adapter, or a compatibility issue (TV and HDMI adapter).

So you can try a new HDMI adapter (or from a different brand) or try it on another TV.

Please let us know how it goes!

I changed the settings and I rebooted the Wii and now it has the sound of death which is when it freezes after the Wii health and safety screen and it makes a terrible sound. I think my Wii is just dead

I would stop using the HDMI adapter and just connect the original AV cable. See if everything is OK now. If this is the case, get yourself another HDMI adapter from a different brand and test again.
