Released in May 2020, the 13" MacBook Pro features quad-core Intel 8th generation Core i5 and i7 processors, and Intel Iris Plus 645 integrated graphics. (Model A2289/EMC3456 with two Thunderbolt 3 ports)

MacBook Pro 2020 (A2289) battery replacement issues.

I have just replaced the battery for the MacBook Pro 2020 (A2289). The laptop will only now switch on with the battery charger connected. The computer does not recognise the battery on coconut battery and the battery icon has an X inside it. System settings state that the battery is fully charged at 100%. When I remove the charger cable the computer turns off. I have ordered a replacement data flex cable incase that is the issue. Is it likely that this is the issue ?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Review Steps 8 through 12 in this guide MacBook Pro 13" Two Thunderbolt Ports 2020 Battery Replacement as the battery data cable is either not connected within the ZIF connector or the connector is damaged, or the cable is damaged and will need to be replaced.
