12.7 mm SATA Optical Bay SATA Hard Drive Enclosure?

Id like to replace the Superdrive with an optical bay adapter but previous answers only lead to a list of non-compatible adapters. Can someone please provide a link or part number for the actual product i need.

From what i can read this is NOT the compatible: Product code: IF107-081-1

Are you trying to swap out the super drive and mount a second HD or a SSD in its place? Can you tell us which and it's size.

If you look at the iFixIt Guide page for this system you'll see the player is held in a plastic tray by four screws if you remove the player you can mount the full sized HD directly or HD or SSD on to this frame by using a 3 1/2" or 2 1/2" adapter frame HD/SSD frame kits. You still have the I/O and power connections to deal with.
