My iPod Touch volume/power cable broke.

Now my iPod touch won't show anything. I know it's on because when I hold the home button the voice assistant talks. I did see a white screen once. Also my computer detects it. I can't do any reset because my flex cable for the volume/power is ripped. But i'm also not sure a hard reset would work. Did this happen to anyone similar? Did you fix it? How?

Hate to say this, Justin, but when you replaced the lcd and pulled up the logic board you probably ripped the power/volume flex cable. To repair your iPod, is going to involve desoldering the hot terminal off the battery, pulling the logic board, and soldering in a new flex cable. And if you don't have the right equipment and experience you'll dig yourself deeper into a hole that can include lifting solder pads, solder splash, tearing other cables etc. At this point I suggest you send your iPod off to a business that specializes in iPod repairs.

It sounds like the front panel display went out. I would try replacing it.
