Why I can't use up to 256 gb of my phone only 16gb only

Please help why is it that my phone Realme 12 plus that has a 256 gb storage capacity can't use to the fullest only 16gb and the rest can't use.

Is my phone fake and can't use the rest of my storage? how to fix this concern?

Not sure if you've done this but here's a video that shows how to check how much storage is being used and is available in your phone.
