Audio jack not working

The audio jack was working fine until yesterday but today when fired up my console my wired JBL headphones wont connect. I tried with other controller and they seemed to work fine so not a headphone issue definitely a controller one... anyone know how to fix this?

Hi Sam!

Is the Dualsense it's firmware up to date? Just in case!

Do you use the controller on the PS5 or PC?

Do other headsets work or airpods or whatever?

Thanks!

I use it with ps5 and yeah firmware is up to date๐Ÿ‘

Okay! Thatโ€™s good! Do you have any other headset to test?? This would be the ultimate test.

In the worst case, you do need to replace the headphone jack.. this requires soldering and soldering experience!

Chosen Solution

Hey,

This is a common issue with PS5 controllers, I've attached a YouTube link for a couple quick diagnosis methods. Unfortunately if none of these methods get your controllers audio jack working again you may have to replace the audio jack which will require you to disassemble the controller and do some soldering.

Here is the YouTube link.

Hopefully this helps, best of luck!
