How to change the screen?

The screen of my phone broke after it fell hard on the ground and I now want to change the broken screen but, do not know how to.

Hey,

You'll have to start by using heat on the frame to loosen the adhesive holding the screen in place.

This can be done via: heat-pad, heat gun, the heat bed on a 3D printer, or if you're really patient a hair dryer.

By the looks of it there will be 1x ribbon cable for the screen You'll have to disconnect before swapping over to the new screen.

Take care not to damage any ribbon cables

Use IPA ( Isopropyl Alcohol, at least 98%) this will help soften the adhesive to make it easier to remove, it will also help remove the old adhesive and clean up the frame, ready to apply fresh adhesive for the new screen.

I recommend using a suction cup to help lift the screen, iFixit has a couple options.

I also recommend using a Jimmy or plastic picks to help get under the screen.
