Hi!

Yes, it could be the battery! Could also be a fuse on the motherboard.

First, I would try to replace the battery (as this is the most easy thing to do first) and see if it want to turn on. If not, charge it for a bit and see if it comes up.

If this didn't worked, then open it up and test the fuses with a continuity test, if you hear a beep, then they are fine, if not, it need to be replaced.

The fuses are labeled with "F1", "F2" on the motherboard.
