Why is it so hard to desolder the flex cable?
I'm attempting my first power/volume button flex cable repair on iPod Touch 4th gen. I have a 15 WATT solder iron, and some desoldering wick. No matter how long I try to heat up the solder to try to take off the old flex cable it doesn't flow! I can't get it to "suck up" into the desoldering wick either.
Is my iron not hot enough? What can I do?
Is this a good question?
