Why is my KP0800 making noise?

My KP0800 is making a screeching whirl sound after I release the trigger. Some friends tell me it is the bearings. Can someone provide some help.

I plugged it in just now (after having not used it for a day or so). When I pressed the trigger and let it go, the motor quiets down, and at the end of that, say 1/5 at the end, it starts making the whirling sound. I've heard it start 4/5 of the way in on days when it's frequently being used.
