digitizer doesnt respond when I touch the screen at all

Title pretty much says the problem: the digitizer doesnt respond when i touch the screen at all..

Ive checked the ribbon cables and theyre connected, however i can press them in towards the digitizer (from the inside) so that they touch the glass, could this be the problem? if so how can i make them touch it safely? Thanks!

Motorola Droid 2 Front Panel Replacement I'm not sure I follow what you mean by being able to touch the cables onto the glass...I'm not sure that they should be doing that or you'd be able to see them from the outside. I'd recheck your work, the cables are quite thin and easy to tear. If you have replaced the screen then if there is no obvious damage from you inserting it in your phone, I'd try and get a refund for a faulty part. If your screen doesn't work because you dropped the phone then maybe you should buy a new digitiser.

in the inside the two cables that touch the digitizer at the top of the phone, they dont completely touch the digitizer because when i open it i can press them down and they can go down further, but im not sure how to keep them like that, no cables are ripped or exposed, this is a brand new digitizer! and i havent dropped it. Here are some pictures i took.

let me know if i can give you anything else that could help
