Partial touch screen malf after battery change

I changed the battery in my Iphone 3g and now my touch screen does not sense in a certain area. What could it be?

Options

Sounds like the digitizer has gone bad. Either that or the digitizer cable is not connected 100%. Try reconnecting the cable again.
