The ifixit 40mm screen adhesive used for the Apple watch Series 4 and 5 screens should be OK to use.

Replace the adhesive strip compatible with the 40 mm case Series 4 or Series 5 Apple Watch model #A1975, A1977, A2007, A2092, A2094, and A2156. Image
