- Check Audio Settings
- Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select Playback Devices.
- Ensure the correct audio device is set as default.
- Update or Reinstall Audio Drivers
- Open Device Manager and locate Sound, Video, and Game Controllers.
- Right-click the audio driver and select Update driver.
- If updating doesn’t work, uninstall the driver, restart the PC, and let Windows reinstall it
- Check Physical Connections
- If using external speakers or headphones, test with another device or port to rule out hardware failure.
- Download Drivers from HP Support
- Visit HP Support and search for HP a6500f to find compatible audio drivers for Windows 7.
- Install the driver, restart your PC, and test the sound output.
