Second generation of iPhone. Model A1241 / 8 or 16 GB capacity / black or white plastic back. Repair is more straightforward than the first iPhone. requires screwdrivers, prying, and suction tools.

Charger keeps connecting/disconnecting

When I plug it in it shows that its connected and then disconnected and connected and so on but when I unplug it it dies right away, when I try to restart it by holding power/home the screen flashes and then goes back to the same thing, its weird because when I first got the phone I few days ago it was working normally with the battery and everything, I took out the vibrator out of the phone because it was broken but I’m not sure if that’s the problem, and it’s not the charger because it works fine with the other devices.

Try a new battery. If it still has the original it won't be too healthy.

Isn’t there a way to power it on without the battery or make it show any signs of life ( like soldering another battery or a usb cable )
