Probably a Problem with the Motherboard. If you hear a Fan Spin, its probably the Screen.

If your laptop shows charging but won’t power on, try these quick checks:

  • Disconnect charger and battery (if removable), then hold the power button for 30–60 seconds to reset.
  • Reconnect only the charger and try powering on.
  • Check for fan noise or indicator lights—if they’re on but screen stays black, it could be a display or RAM issue.
  • If there’s no response at all, the motherboard or power circuit may need professional diagnostics.

We see this often with EliteBooks, and many times it’s a simple power reset or RAM reseat. If not, it usually points to a board-level issue.

@abdullahideeq @kevin11129 you have not told us how old your battery is. Your PC may say it is charging but a dead battery will not hold a charge. I'd start with a new battery and go from there. If nothing else, it will provide you with a known-well starting point for any further troubleshooting, if necessary. Use the HP EliteBook 645 G10 Maintenance And Service Guide to work on it.
