Disc keeps getting stuck

Hi
When I put the disc inside the drive, it glides in smoothly and loads up the game. No irregular noises or clicks. But everytime I try ejecting the disc, I can hear the mechcanism trying to eject but the disc doesn’t come out.

I have to manually turn the ejection mecchanism screw on the top of the drive.

Does it need a new drive?

it now seems to work but i need to push the the disc abit to get it to go into the drive,
