The TI-84 Plus CE is a graphing calculator released in Spring 2015 by Texas Instruments. It includes a 2.8 inch color screen, USB port, apps, storage, and a 1200 mAh battery.

TI 84 Plus CE is stuck in the validating loop

Hello,

I am trying to fix the calculator. When plugged in it is stuck in the validating loop. I have attempted to remove the battery, download the TI software, but when I plug it in it through the USB it does not recognize the calculator. There is mention of a button battery that can be replaced but I cannot find that either. Should I purchase a whole new battery? Is that maybe why it will not get out of the validation loop or be recognized?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

This has been a common issue. You need a new battery. If your calculator is less than 2 years old then contact TI Cares and they will send you a new battery for free. https://epsstore.ti.com/OA_HTML/ibeCZzpH...

The TI-84 Plus CE only has one battery. The TI-84 Plus has AAA batteries and a coin cell battery.
