Why is my awd off
The car readout says AWD is off on my 2008 equinox

What are the specific codes stored? Do you have any other lights on the dash such as abs or traction control? Awd being off could be caused by a number of things, such as a faulty module, wiring concerns, damaged rear diff or transfer case... having the codes stored in the system would be a good starting off place.
