MacBook will not turn on, please help.

My brother bought a used macbook A1181 and had it for about 1 month. He explained to me that his dog chewed the charger cable. He said he tried to tapes the wires together (not a smart move in my book but what can i say). So nothing turns on, no green light on the charger cable when plugged in to the magsafe. I assume the logic board is done, but saw you can replace the magsafe board. My question could replacing this fix the issue. Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

Could you please clarify exactly what's chewed on? If it's just the charger, then there may be nothing wrong with the actual laptop. Have you tried using it with other chargers?

The dog chewed the part of the area close to the MagSafe not the part close to the wall outlet plug. I tried using my charger from my 2009 MacBook Pro and still doesn't charge and no green light and he just bought a new charger. Nothing.

From the description you gave, it sounds like all you need is a replacement AC adapter like this one: [linked product missing or disabled: IF113-049]
