Repair guides for Microsoft's Surface Laptop Go, released in October of 2020.

laptop go 1 : replace existing SSD - wich part?

I have a first-generation Microsoft Surface Laptop Go.

The internal SSD is a 64Gb. I saw that the SSD was removable and replaceable by maximum 256Gb.

Which spare part should I buy?

Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks

According to teardowns and questions around, it uses a replaceable standard NVME M.2 2230 SSD (note that this applies to "Surface Laptop Go", while "Surface Go" has it soldered onboard). Any SSD with these specs and from a reputable manufacturer should be good.

@dinoo_fixit Thank you for your reply. Should I get a gen 3 or gen 4 SSD for the first generation surface laptop go?

Thank you

The OEM one should be a Gen3, I'd go with the same. Note that you can comment other peoples' replies instead of creating a new reply. Btw have a look at the official replacement guide
