Issue with external hard drive and expansion card

My xbox x say it can't transfer data to my external hard drive because there is not enough signal strength, When I added my new expansion storage card witch is compatible with the xbox same message and it won't recognize the new storage card that is 2 TB. I don't know how to fix that what can I do?

Which expansion card is used? Do you have a link for us?

It's possible that the port is broken inside the Xbox, but most likely it's just the expansion card it self.
