I bought this Game Gear years ago with the intention of modding it. But in order to buy an IPS screen kit for it, I need to know what version it is.
Also, whilst I've modded a load of Game Boy DMG-01's, I've never done a Game Gear before, so suggestions for the best mods to do would be much appreciated.

@jonny29797 take a look at the left hand side of your image. You can clearly make out that your board is a 837-7996. That means your board is a

We are really not into modding anything. We are more the repair type crowd. There are plenty of great sites like this one and many others that adress mods etc.
