Best CPU to upgrade to having a NVIDIA GPU

Hello,

I have recently upgraded my iMac with a Quadro K2100M (flashed ofc), but don’t have a new CPU for it. I was wondering which CPU would be the best choice having already a Quadro installed. I tried with an i7-870 but it didn’t work.

Forgot to add, the current CPU is the stock i3 dual-core

Sadly, this series uses either the Intel i3 & i5 Clarkdale CPU’s there is no i7 offered as such the systems firmware won’t recognize the next gen Sandy Bridge i7 CPU or the older Lynnfield i7-870 as the microcode held is only for the the two it supported.

The best you can use is the 3.6GHz i5 in the system
