How to access iPad with unresponsive screen and home button

Hello! First post here. My 12 year old daughter's iPad is having an issue. It's an iPad 11 inch 9th Generation. Here are the facts:

  1. The Home button is broken, so the accessabilty feature "floating home button" on the screen has been the one she's been using.
  2. The screen has now become unresponsive, so we can't type the lock code in to get back into the iPad.
  3. I can't connect it to a computer to work on it because we can't type in the lock code.
  4. I can't turn it off and on because the slider can't be used, and the Home Button + Power Button restart isn't an option because the Home Button doesn't work.

Any idea how we can get back into this? I have a digitizer to install, hoping I can get access to the home button again, but I wasn't sure if there was another way to reboot it.

Any ideas?

If you have a wired USB keyboard you could plug it into the iPad using a lightening-to-usb adapter and that should allow you to type in the access code.

You may also just let the battery rundown causing a reboot which might reset the screen.
