Home button activated when botton of screen is pushed

Its like it has a capacitive home button, the entire area to the left and right of the home button activates the home button.

My customer is constantly enabling voice control with the phone is his pocket when it presses against his leg.

He claims this started happening after I replaced the screen which cracked after it took a bounce on the sidewalk.

My theory is that the mid frame is bent as I have taken the LCD off numerous times to try and realign it and changed the home button ribbon and button to no avail.

I am hoping somebody else has had this issue and can confirm that changing the midframe will fix this.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Where are you getting parts? Sounds like the LCD is a cheap plastic screen and is flexing. That or you don't have the home button on correctly (upside down) and the side clips are hitting the display. The flex cable should be sitting behind the home button and only a tightly depressed button would force it down prematurely to cause the button to click. The glass should be perfectly flat and have no way of flexing. I could not imagine a bent midframe without sever internal damage. I fixed an iPhone 4 run over by a semi and the midframe was still flat.
