You should provide us with the last four codes of the S/N to gauge what iPod Touch is.

As far as I know, the fastes and easiest way to achieve that is resetting the unit.

I hope you've got a backup of its data.

Place it in DFU Mode, (Here for references: http://forum.pocketables.net/showthread.... ), then connect to the same iTunes you've always connected it in the past, and it will take care of fixing your unit back.

Usually, an iPod Touch locks because someone used up all the password attempts or installed some really malfunctioning homebrew, but the former is plausible.

So, next time don't leave your iPod unguarded, if you believe someone has tampered with it.
