2 Problems: No image on the LCD and Memory Card Error
The A620 I bought at auction looks brand new but it has 2 problems. With fresh batteries, I turn it on, the lens comes forward, and when I open the LCD screen there is no view, but the display items show up, such as the L and P etc. so the LCD is ok but I can't see the subject through the lens, just black. On the top of the screen it says 'Memory card error'. I have tried 3 different SD cards and the message stays the same. When I push the Menu button and get to settings, the Format... selection is black and I cannot choose it to format the card. When I push the shutter button the camera makes little click sounds and no photo is taken. If I toggle the playback switch, it also says Memory Card Error and 'Card Locked!' even though the card is NOT locked. I tried 8, 16 and 64 gb sd cards.
Is this a good question?
When I remove the sd card, the camera operates and seems to take a photo, but still nothing shows up on the lcd screen. I'm going to buy an older non-hc sd card, since I saw another posted answer saying that this generation of camera does not like HC type of cards.

Does anyone know where to get parts for this camera? I searched the internet and no results come up, and I think it's too obsolete for professional repairs. One repair place said they can't get parts for it. A new 2mb sd card fixed the card error, but still no image shows on the LCD.
