Black lcd screen after screen replacement

it works i did a hard reboot i used reboot to put it in and out of recovery mode (read that would fix it somewhere else" the digitizer works because when i mirror my iPod screen through Xcode it shows me unlocking it and i can use the touch screen on the iPod its just a black LCD tough , when i plugged in the LCD it turned solid black and when i take it off it goes to that like grayish color, so the lcd is getting some sort of power/input
