Where can I find a tutorial for screen replacement?

Hi @jamesholt43569

Here's the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop.

Go to p.35 to view the procedure to remove/replace the LCD module.

Search online for 5D10S39682 to find suppliers that suit you best.

Perhaps start on p.33 which details how to remove the LCD unit, then on p.34 for how to disassemble the LCD unit and then on to p.35.

Looks like there's a typo on p.35 where it states the remove the LCD unit is on p.35 instead of p.33

Really straight forward just follow the procedure.

One thing though is to ensure that you disconnect the battery from the motherboard - see p.27 BEFORE commencing any further work inside the laptop once you can access it. You don't have to remove the battery per se, just disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard.

There is always power available somewhere onthe board even when the laptop is turned off. The power On/Off button is NOT a power isolating button. Its function is to signal the board and OS as to the intentions of the user i.e. turn on, turn off etc.

This is to ensure no electrical damage occurs when working inside the laptop. Reconnect the the battery, last thing after the repair is complete, just before closing the laptop for the last time.
