Repair and troubleshooting information for GE brand dishwashers.

What should I do with E4?

After working for a few minutes, it starts beeping and shows error 4 on the screen, I don't know how to fix it.

Hi @babakvakilian

What is the model number of the dishwasher?

by

Hi @jayeff and thank you , is it correct ?

There is no standing water under the tub at the bottom of the dishwasher. The dishwasher continuously drains, and if I add water, it drains immediately, making a sound as it does so. Since the dishwasher is built-in, I need to remove it to check further, but I don't have a screwdriver to take it out.

Hi @babakvakilian

Yes, you have a GE GBT412SIMII model dishwasher.

Is there standing water under the tub at bottom of the dishwasher?

If there is then it may be due to a leak in the dishwasher which has activated the flood switch

If there's no water it could be a faulty flood switch.

Tilt the dishwasher forward and check if any water drains out.

Unfortunately I cannot find the service manual (look behind the kickplate -toe plate to see if it is there in a plastic sleeve) or any parts for your model.
