upgrade 8gb iPhone 4 with cleaned water damaged iPhone 16Gb

I have a 16GB water damaged Iphone 4, that was cleaned but the battery is now bad. The screen and everything works, but the battery overheats and is fried. I was told that I could replace the battery and take the chance that it may fry out, OR I could get a new one. I went ahead and got a new iPhone 4 8GB. I am stuck in this contract for now like 1.5 years. I really miss my 16 GB. What is the best way for me to get a working iPhone with 16 GB of storage. I have two phones now technically, one of which battery is fried. THANKS for any advise you can give!

Louisa, I am not sure about your information. I would most certainly replace the battery on the 16GB. the battery overheats most likely from having been exposed to water. Worst case scenario, if it is not your battery, it could be the power management IC. Any of this is still cheaper than another iPhone with another service contract. Here would be one for $5.00 and at least it would allow you to properly troubleshoot your old iPhone. I do hope you also double checked the cleaning. Hope this helps to get you started, good luck.
