1 ONN tablet shuts OFF randomly
The device shuts down while in use, powering off each time. When it works doesn't seem to have any glitches or operating system issues??

You can try to wipe the cache partition if it runs Android. You'll have to look up how to do it for your device, this article might help. You follow the same steps as during a factory reset by booting up recovery mode, but select wipe cache partition if that's an option. It won't harm your data, but if you're still concerned you can back it up just in case
This helped my Samsung Galaxy Tab s7 get out of a boot loop once. Still, no idea why it happened but it fixed it
This works because it deletes possibly corrupt system files off of your device
Onn tablets are usually budget, so it could be resetting itself due to it being overloaded with processes (you can check how much storage and RAM you have, if it looks normal then this might not be the issue), it might help to restart your tablet more often and close apps more often. This can also happen when it gets too hot, but it's rare
If the tablet being overloaded is the issue, you can go into developer options and set the background process limit lower and(or) turn ''don't keep activities" on, but I don't suggest this unless nothing works or since it will negatively impact how your apps run and may hurt battery life
If that doesn't work you can try factory resetting it as a last resort, but if that doesn't work either it's probably a hardware issue or a combination of both hardware and software

Stop buying onn pruducts, they suck my sons tablet keeps turning off he hasn’t had it 30 days, this isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue with this seller, they make bogus merchandise

Yes, I had come to this conclusion. At least I got a year out of it before it started doing this. I got it for my brother after he was released from Stanford Medical in 2023. After he passed away in December of 23 it started doing this sometime in early 2024. Onn is definitely on my do not buy list. :-)

I went straight to the factory reset and unfortunately the device would still randomly shut down. Therefore, this is a hardware issue, more than likely but determining what piece of hardware is failing is difficult. My kids simply have to get used to it as well as yours, I expect.

I'm having the same problem with the same device! Doesn't seem to have any additional problems other than that as you also stated. I will never buy on products again. This is the 2nd tablet I've had, the first one the battery went bad after only 5months of normal use!
