A jack-in-the-box is a children's toy that outwardly consists of a box with a crank. When the crank is turned, it plays a melody, often "Pop Goes the Weasel". At the end of the tune there is a "surprise", the lid pops open and a figure, usually a clown or jester, pops out of the box.

@frankriposta there are so many variation of this that it will be difficult. You would have to narrow it down by maker and model. It might just be "easier" to fix the one you have. Let us know what is going on with it and consider posting some pictures of the movement. Post those with your question so that we can see what you see and maybe we can all come up with a good fix for it :)
