HDMI torn from board and damaged traces

I acquired a ps5 that had a claim of a bent hdmi port, but was definitely more than that. Hdmi port was broken off the board and the many of the pads and traces are damaged or missing. I was going to try and run new traces but I'm, 1 not sure if it's too far gone and 2 was wondering if the routing on the board is the same on both versions of the motherboard EDM-010 And EDM-033. here on ifixit you can see the EDM010 BUT NOT 033

by

@rguilmette1977 hmm, it’s probably a new revision then. Yes.. this need to be removed first before you can proceed to the repair part. Hopefully you can repair this board!

Hi Rob!

Oh dear, this motherboard do have some serious damage there. It’s very difficult to repair this one. But the only thing left to do is to run new traces.

Is this the PS5 Slim version by any chance?

it’s easier to replace this motherboard as the HDMI port is completely ripped off the hard way…

Not sure what solder they used, but it's a nightmare trying to wick up. My wick keeps soldering to the board and the solder goes nowhere. I even cranked up the temp on my iron

Did you tried to put some fresh solder on your wick? Perhaps the old solder will come along in the copper wick as well. Also try some flux to get it off.
