Is this problem fixable by me, or should I send it back to Microsoft?

I got this Surface in November last year and a month or so ago I noticed this flickering in the screen and some discolored regions. I talked to Microsoft support and troubleshooted to try to fix it, but nothing worked and they said to send it in. They sent it back within a week or two, but the issue was not resolved. Should I send it back to them or is it something I could fix?

@gestaltzerfall send it back. This should be covered either with a new display or a new motherboard. Don't get caught later with a big bill once the warranty has expired. The Surface is not like a fine Wine and does not get better with age :-)
