Blank - white screen, will not respond to power up when opening case.

Why is the screen blank-white whether the case is open or the Ipod is out of the case? I can hear the drive spinning when I put the unit up to my ear. I cannot get it to react to anything I do to it.

Options

The ribbon cable connecting the screen is probably busted.

Try reseating it. If not, you might need to buy a new cable.
