A lot of things might cause this problem from dead battery to damage to malware, software or hardware issues. Sticky or dirty power button, bad sensor, matrix etc.
Things to try:
1. Restart: Press and hold the power button until the device turns off, then turn it back on again.
2. Charge the phone for at least half an hour to an hour then try it again. (Press and hold the power button until the Samsung Galaxy A04 logo appears or you feel it vibrate - up to 30 seconds)
Note whether the phone vibrates, works though the screen is black, any sounds etc. more info would be helpful. if the problem remains let us know and please describe the phone's symptoms in more detail.

Tried it with my a04 and it didn't work at all with the dead phone battery it turned on and then off idk what the problem is and I can't fix it :(

I dropped mine and now it doesn't seem to turn on it just has a black screen but it still works I can still feel the vibration when I get a notification but the screen just stays black but it does have a big crack and a little chunk of glass missing cld that be it
